Touching the Heart

Acts 20:24 (NIV)

24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

Touching the Heart

Live Like You’re Loved

You’re not the only one who feels like this
Feelin’ like you lose more than you win
Like life is just an endless hill you climb
You try and try, but never arriveI’m tellin’ you somethin’
This racing, this running
Oh, you’re working way too hard! (You’re working way too hard)
And this perfection you’re chasing
Is just energy wasted
Cause he love’s you like you are!

So go ahead and live like you’re loved
It’s ok to act like you’ve been set free
His love has made you more than enough
So go ahead and be who he made you to be

And live like you’re loved
Live like you’re loved
Live like you’re loved
Live like you’re loved

And live like you’re know you’re valuable
Like you know the one that hold your soul
Cause mercy has called you by your name
Don’t be…

Until I Learned…

New post on my other blog, Touching the Heart.

Touching the Heart

I didn’t write this poem, but it touched my heart. How true it is that when things are going well we often forget to thank God for all he blesses us with, but when things are hard he’s the first one we expect to fix our problems and make things good again. If we never faced hardship would we ever remember the most precious gift we could ever wish to receive?

Touching the Heart

Matthew 6:25-27 25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?”

Cast My Cares

When fear feels bigger than my faith
And struggles steals my breath away
When my back pressed up against the wall
With the weight of my worries stacked up tall
You’re strong enough to hold it all

I will cast my cares on you
You’re the anchor of my hope
The only one who’s in control
I will…

My Bones Were Dry

Ezekiel 37:4  Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!”

Come Alive (Dry Bones)

Through the eyes of men it seems
There’s so much we have lost
As we look down the road
Where all the prodigals have walked
One by one
The enemy has whispered lies
And led them off as slaves

But we know that you are God
Yours is the victory
We know there is more to come
That we may not yet see
So with the faith you’ve given us
We’ll step into the valley unafraid, yeah

As we call out to dry bones
Come alive, come alive
We call out to dead hearts
Come alive, come alive
Up out of the ashes
Let us see an army rise
We call out to dry bones, come alive

God of…

Greater

Bring your tired
And bring your shame
Bring your guilt
And bring your pain
Don’t you know that’s not your name
You will always be much more to me

Every day I wrestle with the voices
That keep telling me I’m not right
But that’s alright

‘Cause I hear a voice and He calls me redeemed
When others say I’ll never be enough
And greater is the One living inside of me
Than he who is living in the world
In the world
In the world
And greater is the One living inside of me
Than he who is living in the world

Bring your doubts
And bring your fears
Bring your hurt
And bring your tears
There’ll be no condemnation here
You are holy, righteous and redeemed

Every time I fall
There’ll be those who will call me
A mistake
Well that’s okay

‘Cause I hear a voice…
