I’ve compiled a selection of books from my bookshelves that I think will make good Fall reads. Now, when I say Fall I don’t mean your traditional calendar dates for Fall. I mean the 3 months that feel like Fall to me weather wise. This is an insanely large selection for me, as I’ve never read this many books in a 3 month time span. I probably won’t get to all of these books, but I thought it would be fun to try.
The first few books that I’m going to try to get read don’t really fall into the Fall selections, but instead are books that I want to read for other reasons. I’ll explain as I go. The books are in no particular order and this list does not include any books that I might read with my son as part of his schooling.
If you would like to know more about any of these books, simply click on the title to visit that books Goodreads page.
Misc. Books:

- Help for the Haunted by: John Searles (I started this book back in January and haven’t read on it since the end of January. It just hasn’t grabbed my attention and I was having a really hard time getting into this book. I thought I’d give it another try before I decided to give up on it all together.
- The Cold Dish by: Craig Johnson (Craig Johnson is going to be doing a book signing near me in early November and I would like to get the first book in his Walt Longmire series read before I go to the signing. I’ve already read Spirit of Steamboat, a short story in the Longmire series.)
- Unbroken by: Paula Morris ( I read the first book in this series, Ruined, this summer and want to get the second one read so I can post a review.)
Library Books:

(I read the first book in this trilogy, The Darkest Minds, back in May and was working on the second book when my mother had some unexpected health issues and I had to go out of town for a few weeks. I just never got around to checking these books back out from the library to finish the series. That’s something I’m going to try to rectify this Fall.)
Kindle book:

- Pet From Hell by: Justin Gowland (I’m trying to focus on reading print books from my bookshelves, but I think I might try to work this one in.)
My books:

(As a child the first 3 books in the Bunnicula series were some of my favorite reads. Over the years I’ve managed to collect more of them and thought it would be fun to revisit my youth by reading the series from the beginning.)

(These are the first 3 books in The Legends saga. I currently own the first book and hope to order the second and third books on September 14th when the third book releases.)

My plan is to post an update at the end of Fall with a list of all of the books that I managed to read. If anyone has read any of these books and thinks I should move them to the top of my list, I’d love to hear from you. 🙂
